From raw scan to finished 3D‑model
Three stages — explore them interactively: a dense point cloud of millions of measuring points, a cleaned-up 3D mesh and drone footage for the final documentation.

0 %Raw scan data — millions of measuring points
The drone photographs the object from hundreds of overlapping perspectives. Photogrammetry software turns these into a dense point cloud — each point carries an exact position and colour. The result can be navigated, measured and imported directly into BIM and CAD workflows.
Applications
- Building survey & as-built plan
- Construction progress documentation
- Damage & inspection analysis
- Archaeological prospection
- Facade & roof surveying
Cleaned-up 3D mesh — explorable & measurable
The point cloud is turned into a textured polygon mesh (GLTF/GLB). The mesh can be viewed from any angle in the browser — without a plugin or external software. It can be used directly in CAD, BIM or real-time engines.
Delivery formats
- GLTF / GLB (web standard)
- OBJ + MTL (universal)
- FBX (CAD / BIM)
- IFC (architecture / planning)
- E57 / LAS (point cloud)
Drone footage — the common thread
Cinematically edited video footage rounds off the documentation: flyovers, inspection runs and walkthrough sequences give building owners, investors and planning offices an immediate impression — without technical background knowledge.
Specifications
- 4K raw data, web export 1080p
- H.264 / H.265 (MP4)
- Editing, grading, title overlays
- Delivery via download link or USB
- Loop-optimised for website use
Embedding real assets — on your own site, how it works
Delivered as a ready-made web package (Potree). Upload the folder to the own web space and embed the view in the page with an <iframe> — even very large scans run smoothly in the browser.
A single file. With the freely available web component <model-viewer>, one line of HTML is enough — the model can be rotated and zoomed directly on the page.
Delivered web-optimised (MP4, H.264, 1080p, fast start). Embedded like any other video: with a <video> element, in the site builder of the own website or via a video platform.
As shown: embedding takes just a few steps. On request, nk DigitalMedia also takes care of it completely, matching the existing site. Send an inquiry →
