Glückstadt once again: for the 52nd Rhinplate rund autumn meeting at the end of September, traditional sailing ships gathered in the harbour of Glückstadt. The highlight was the joint squadron sail on the Elbe on Saturday, 26 September.
Most of the photos were taken on board the Gunilla, a former mooring boat from the port of Hamburg. That made it possible to accompany the ships under sail at close range.
The RIGMOR von Glückstadt was there too: built in 1853 as a customs cutter, she is today the oldest seaworthy sailing ship in Germany. The prize-giving took place at her association's slipway.
