From 27 August to 6 September 2026, the NØRDEN — the nordic arts festival runs in the Königswiesen city park in Schleswig. Thursday was the opening day, the grounds open from 5 pm to 11 pm.
Programme on Thursday — stages and tents:

And then it gets dark, and the festival starts all over again. What was a meadow with sculptures during the day becomes a light installation after nightfall: an elk glows between the trees, icosahedra shine in the bushes, wafts of fog, a tunnel of fairy lights and much more..
Fitting to that, the Oakleaf Streetshow in the dark. A walking light “installation” of its own.
Out on the Schlei, the festival lettering NØRDEN shimmers in the water.
At 11 pm the evening is over. A small selection in pictures is captured in the series.
Second day in the Königswiesen city park. The grounds were open from 5 pm to midnight.
Programme on Friday — stages and tents:

Friday was wet. Heavy rain washed many an outdoor act into the Schlei. Towards the evening, more was possible again!
Bingo, RAUM27 on the Schlei stage, Katja Ruge until midnight. In between: culture tent, garden stage, light installations in the park and much more..
At the tea stand there was loose leaf in a glass from Tea Addicts from Hamburg.
At midnight the evening is over. A small selection in pictures is captured in the series.
Day 3 on the Königswiesen.
Photos from a walk around market and crafts (Sägebiene with a demonstration). Archery, kayaks and canoe on the Schlei.
In the ring Eitis Magia, then quickly over to the kiiking and back to the ring for Duo Kaos.
Veigh Malow fired the musical starting gun, followed by Agassi on the Schlei stage, then back to the garden stage with Vandalisbin and, to finish, Alli Neumann on the main stage. Closing with plenty of WET and BASS from a quarter past ten: Beauty & The Beats on the garden stage.
For me this was the last festival day of the first weekend.
The NØRDEN runs until 6 September.

The series has been extended to include Saturday. A small selection in pictures is captured there.
